Team MPLS
Team MPLS is an advocate of mid to long distance running. Created in 2008, the goal was to create an atmosphere where post-college runners could continue a high level of running fitness while bettering those around them. The athletes who participate are generally local runners within the Twin Cities area that have raced 5k through marathon distance and have disciplined themselves to excel at a high level.
The goal of Team MPLS is to bring together people in the area looking for other runners of their ability, dedication and knowledge. Due to the high level of advice given from running legends and elite racers such as Frank Shorter, Abdi Abraham, Meb Keflezighi, Deena Kaster, Ryan Hall, Dean Karnazes etc, Team MPLS is able to provide a healthy knowledgeable arena for those runners wanting to improve their potential.
Team MPLS is looking for athletes both male and female who are willing to train in a team environment at least three times a week (mornings or evenings depending on training schedules and work commitments). Our philosophy is that training with a group of your peers who will push your abilities will only make you a better runner. There are no fees to join. Simply send an e-mail to let us know that you’re a seasoned runner interested in joining us and show up five minutes early ready to have fun while improving your fitness!
